Turracher Höhe: a true skiing paradise!
The Turracher Höhe skiing area covers about 40 kilometres of skiing slopes, but the skiing area gives you the impression of being a lot bigger because of the diversity of ski runs. One moment you’re skiing above the treeline, enjoying the magnificent views (you might think you’re on top of the world), and shortly after, while skiing through the pineforest, you might consider a drink on one of the sun-oriented terraces.
Turracher Höhe is the ideal place for advanced skiers, but also for beginners and families with children. There’s also the FIS-descent. This is an olympic ski run on which even the experienced skiers hold their breath. You’ll find the FIS-descent at the Turrachbahn. You can also face the challenge of stringing out all skiing slopes. This can easily take a day!
For those who prefer relaxed skiing there are also agreeable blue skiing slopes. And for the skiers who love carving there are broad skiing slopes so that even on the steeper parts you can ‘stroke the snow’.
Even the most culinary skiers will be pleased when having a meal in one of the authentic mountain lodges. And when you least expect it, you’ll meet the ‘Pistenbutler’ on one of the slopes. You will be offered a glass of prosecco, a skiwasser or an ice-cream. This, and much more, is part of the all-in service of TurracherHöhe. This really is ‘enjoying in its full sense’!
Do you long for some more adventure? Just take the skiing lift in the evening and come down on a sledge! You can swop your skis for an authentic sledge twice a week, on Tuesday- and on Thursday-evenings. We suggest reserving a sledge in high season. This sure is fun!
